Well, this isn't the sort of ideas that are shared on this site... Most of the ideas are for ideas on how to improve an existing product/service or create a new product/service.

However, that said, I would suggest getting in contact with the CH user
Techguy. His last idea that emerged through the tournament of champions is called "Marketing Mob" and it might be just the sort of thing you are looking for (a way to promote a business by leveraging the power of a crowd)

I am glad to see that you asked first instead of plastering the URL in your idea post and on the forums. This is a no-no and will get you booted pretty quick for spamming.

CH is a place to grow and test an idea, not a place to spam users with unsolicited promotions.

You should also post your request in the forums so that members can discuss the project more in-depth. While I'm an advocate of the Marketing Mob idea, there might be better options to match your needs.

Knowing what I do on the subject, I would say your best bet would be to go with something unique, viral, with less of an impact on the globe. Something like Swagr!

I am a bit confused as to the protocol, with regards to posting on this site.

I am from an older generation, what you young people do is quite a mystery to me. The people in this group appear to be very talented and in the cutting edge of their respective fields.

A long time ago, I was in the cutting edge of my field, older people financed me and we prospered together.

The circle of life has turned. I am now the one seeking fresh ideas for my business and projects to finance.

No, I think you would be welcome on the forums, you just need to frame it correctly. The type of posts I was referring to are the sort where some one starts a forum topic like this.

"There is a new site at blah blah dot com... it has this feature and that feature. So go visit it, here is the link" I think of these posts like door bell ditching.

Most people will flag this as spam. However in your case I would just post a forum topic asking for some ideas on how to do creative marketing. I am sure people can provide links to some fresh ideas.

This link is more or less ideas for bloggers (think professional opinion givers on the web) to promote their blog. But the good news is that you can apply some of these suggestions to promote the environmental company you have been tasked with promoting.

So for example,
#13. Use e-press releases - Does the company you represent use e-press releases in addition to print press releases?

#18. Become part of a community - Does the company partner with other environmental companies?

#61. Mix work and pleasure. - Has the company considered sponsoring social events? The company I work for is a platinum sponsor for a local bike safety fair. It is great exposure and PR.

#96. Sponsor a highway. Cheap and great exposure.

Thank you ccozad, this has been a big help.

What I am really looking for is hiring a young dynamic marketing/promption team, who will assist me in introducing enviromentally friendly concepts to the Asia Pacific region. This will include researching new technologies which will reduce greenhouse gases', and promoting those that are pass muster.

We have already signed a J/V with a Chinese University, in order to create a faculty devoted to enviromental research and training.
We have had one technology approved by the Chinese (EPA) this is a start, we require many more good ideas.

I have no interest in spamming, unless it is enviromentally friendly and leads to the reduction of greenhouse gases. I have merely come to this site in order to try and find new ideas, new talent and perhaps people who want to work with me in my enviromental projects.

May I ask, have I come to the wrong place ?

Hopefully I didn't scare you off with my first "harsh" greeting :) My first response had come after CH had been exposed to a string of spammers and you unfairly received some of of that anger.

You have indeed come to the right site to find ideas, people, etc. I am sure there are people who want to help make the world an environmentally friendly place. I have heard some folks say that the forums are hard to find... so some assistance: If you select "people" on the left,then you will see "forums" under the 'L' in "People" at the top of the page.

The forums are great tool and aren't used enough. (Maybe because you get 2 GP for posting in response to an idea and 1 GP for posting in the forums...)
