The Idea

Why should just CEOs get performance bonuses? (No offense MJ) TippJar allows customers to help out the employees of their favorite stores and companies with a virtual tip jar. Set up initially as an online affiliate business, customers make a purchase and a portion of the rebate is passed on to the non-management employees (yeah! stick it to the man!) of the company (or companies) that the customer selects (or has just completed the transaction with). The companies, of course, must agree to be partners with TippJar. TippJar monies could be distributed as an annual bonus, educational grant, or as a way to fund worker daycare or medical insurance, or any other do-good-deed that will help lower-income folks. We can even work with credit/debit card companies that offer keep-the-change programs to partner with TippJar. We'll keep a portion of the affiliate fees to run a sustainable and... gosh darn it, I'll say it... a profitable business. Are we still cool, MJ?

I thought of this idea when I was...

I was reading An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations and Das Kapital at the same time and something weirdly spiritual happened. Oh, I guess I saw a Upromise sticker on a product at a grocery store, too.

I wish my customers would tip me everytime I gave them some good advice or gave them a good service...This is one nifty idea.
