Mistakes will be made. But if a person is essentially right, the mistakes he or she makes are not as serious in the long run as the mistakes management will make if it undertakes to tell those in authority exactly how they must do their jobs.

The Idea

Zero Emission browser plug-in: Did you know that emissions from your monitor may be captured and decoded.(Even DVI displays) http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/TechReports/UCAM-CL-TR-577.pdf http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/emsec/optical-faq.html This surveillance equipment will soon be available to civilians at a mere fraction of that cost, in the form of handy PCMCIA cards that plug into desktop and notebook computers on the fly, enabling neighbors to spy on each other at their leisure without the need to plant bugs or install miniature cameras on the premises. Year's ago a company called DEMCOM created a product called Zero Emission Pad, which is now Freeware. MY IDEA IS A browser plug-in that takes the text and displays it in a safe zero emissions browser. This would be mainly used for company intranets to protect sensitive data, money would be made by charging licencing fees. I thought of this idea when I was...

I thought of this idea while I was staring at my big monitor.

I like the originality of the idea and remember reading an article about it once ! Still, I doubt whether this idea can make money.
The maximum distance is 50 to 100 meters depending on some conditions + it does not apply on all monitors.

good idea, the security angle sounds catchy.

Is this a software product which could be designed and built the way CH wants to do things (I think it's 6 weeks' development time)?
